We're sorry you are experiencing issues pairing your Mellow. Please check here to see if any of our tips below can help get you connected and start cooking immediately!
Incorrect Wi-Fi Password
Typically, if you are not able to connect your Mellow it is because your Wi-Fi password was entered incorrectly. We do not currently validate your Wi-Fi credentials until the end of setup, so you'll be able to continue through the pairing process, even with an incorrect password.
Not sure what your Wi-Fi password is? This article does a good job explaining how to find it.
Mellow only works on a 2.4 GHz network.
Mellow will only work on a 2.4 GHz wireless network. If you have a dual band router, be sure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz network when trying to connect. You may need to manually enter the 2.4GhZ network name on the pairing screen and the password.
Be sure your phone is connected to your Wi-Fi network
Sometimes, we turn off our Wi-Fi on our mobile phones and forget to turn it back on. Be sure your phone's Wi-Fi is actually switched to on.
To turn on your phone's Wi-Fi: On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > toggle to On
You didn't hold your screen flush against Mellow's sensor
When prompted, you'll need to hold your phone's screen directly against the sensor located on the back of Mellow. There should be no space between your phone's screen and Mellow.
Once the countdown on the screen starts, don't move the phone until you feel it vibrate to indicate the pairing is done.
You're sure the Wi-Fi password is correct.
If you're sure you've entered the correct password, double check that your Wi-Fi is working by testing the connection from your computer or tablet.
If you've tried all the steps above, you can now unplug Mellow from the power outlet and plug it back in. Once the sensor starts blinking orange, try pairing your Mellow again.
